A gastronomic restaurant situated on the Quai Saint Antoine in Lyon 2 , Burgundy by Matthieu incarnates the village spirit of the Presqu’île district, historically home of the culinary arts. Our sommeliers will guide you in your selection from amongst the 1000 references in our exceptional wine cellar , one of the finest collections of Burgundy wines in Lyon, and all of France. Posed serenely on the banks of the Saône, Burgundy by Matthieu offers a cosy, natural decor of stone, wood and exposed beams, where we work in full view in the open kitchen.
The Chef Matthieu Girardon,
Inspired by Passion
Burgundy by Matthieu is first and foremost the story of our young chef, Matthieu Girardon, who chose the banks of the Saône to install his gastronomic restaurant in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon.
Matthieu learned his trade in the top gastronomic establishments of France. His experience before arriving on the Presqu’île of Lyon testifies to his passion for traditional cuisine for which he has a rare talent, and which he takes pleasure in reinventing.
